Western Connecticut State University is seeking bid proposals for all labor and materials required for air conditioning improvements to Server Room 045 and the Amp Rack/Sound Storage Room 030G located in the Visual and Performing Arts Center on the Westside Campus in Danbury CT. Generally, the scope of work shall include installation of two new computer room air conditioning units and the relocation of an existing ceiling-mounted computer room a/c unit in Server Room 045. In the Amp Rack/Sound Storage Room 030G, a fan-coiling unit shall be installed. All electrical and mechanical work pertaining to the installation of this equipment shall be part of this project. The CT Dept. of Labor’s Prevailing Wage Rates do not apply to this project.
This Invitation to Bid is reserved for vendors currently holding a set-aside certificate at the time of bid opening from the State of Connecticut’s Department of Administrative Services Business Supplier Diversity Program.
All contractors are required to visit the site and become familiar with existing conditions. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled Wednesday September 3, 2014 at 10:30 a.m., beginning in the main lobby (box office area) of the Visual and Performing Arts Center on the Westside Campus. Plans and specifications will be available in the purchasing office located in University Hall at 181 White Street for a nonrefundable Fee of $10.00. Contact 203-837-8758 between the hours of 8:30 – 4:00 beginning Monday August 25, 2014.
Work shall commence within one week of issuance of contract and be completed December 1, 2014. |
