| Additional Description |
Overhaul of P40 road locomotives, to include, but not be limited to:
1. Furnishing material, labor, delivery, testing and warranty, as well as transportation to and from the Contractor’s facilities.
2. Furnishing integrated schematics, drawings, inserts for catalogs and manuals.
3. Deliverables referred to throughout the Specification.
There are twelve (12) P40 locomotives, of the twelve (12), eight (8) are CTDOT locomotives identified by road numbers 833, 834, 836, 838, 840, 841, 842, and 843 and four (4) are ex-NJT locomotives, identified by road numbers 4800, 4801, 4802, and 4803, all of which were originally manufactured by the General Electric Company.
The locomotives after overhaul shall be capable of providing a minimum of twelve (12) to fifteen (15) years of reliable service without need of major overhaul or restoration.
