| Additional Description |
The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) on behalf of the State Emergency Response Commission (SERC) is seeking proposals for the execution of a Hazardous Materials Commodity Flow Study for the State of Connecticut. The project will involve a hazardous materials flow study and will identify the specific mode of transport, such as motor carrier, rail, pipeline or vessel that transport hazardous materials. The chemicals of interest will be those chemicals that are considered extremely hazardous substances (EHS) as defined in the U.S. Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act, along with other chemical materials that present higher risk potential to public safety and the environment. Funding for this project will be provided by the US Department of Transportation, Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration. |
